About the Department

  • The Department was established in 1975, The teaching and research programme of the Department is based on a comprehensive social science approach that integrates and interrogates sociological, economic, philosophical and cultural dimensions. It encourages a comprehensive study of the field of politics, keeping especially the Indian reality in focus.
  • The department reaffirmed its commitment by conducting National and State level Seminars on various topics to enlighten and enrich the knowledge of the faculty as well as the students. The devoted management, the dedicated teaching staff and disciplined students created an atmosphere to learn more and more, and thereby contributing to the up liftmen of the rural students.
  • A well-established learning infrastructure of the college supports our department for
  • Our faculty  is using ICT enabled  teaching methods to enrich the learning experience of student.
  • The department has a standard set of Programme Specific Outcomes and Course  Outcomes.
  • Three years B.A. Degree Program with HEP, HES, HEG and HEE combinations.
  • CBCS curriculum is offered, with a choice of elective papers along with compulsory papers.
  • NEP-2020 is being implemented from the current academic year 2021-22.
  • Political science books total no. of 1984 available in the college library.
  • The department has been achieving a good academic result every year.
